Doggyspace is pleased to announce the winners of the first Halloween Costume Contest. It was a close race this year and we want to thank everyone who participated. This year's winners are displayed below. We are very pleased with how passionate everyone here at Doggyspace has been about this contest and we only wish we could give more to these organizations.
SPCA of Westchester, New York
This SPCA is recognized as a "no-kill" shelter that never euthanizes an animal except in cases of terminal illness, extreme aggression or the inability to maintain a reasonable quality of life in a shelter environment. This SPCA services Westchester, Bronx, Putnam, Dutchess and Rockland counties in New York and parts of Connecticut and New Jersey. This SPCA provides shelter services, cruelty investigation and intervention, low-cost veterinary care, and many other services to their community. We are pleased to present them with the grand prize of a $6,000 donation.
Miniature Pinscher Rescue Outreach of Little Rock, AK
The second organization we would like to highlight is the Miniature Pinscher Rescue Outreach. They are a non-profit organization that specializes in Miniature Pinschers that have been abandoned or left behind by previous owners. The outreach places Miniature Pinschers in foster homes while also providing veterinary care including spay/neuter, medical supplies, food, and transport while waiting for a permanent home. They are located in Little Rock, Arkansas and service the surrounding counties. We are pleased to present them with a second place prize of a cash donation as well as a prize package.
Doggyspace is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who love dogs. People use Doggyspace to keep up with friends, upload funny dog videos, and to give their dogs their own cyber place.
