Where has the time gone?

Summer has almost gone and I have not had time to keep up with my doggyspace friends.
Dad is still working six or seven days a week. Mom's ankle is completely healed, but the hot summer weather has kept her indoors a lot.
I discovered a nifty little hidey-hole: under the bed on Dad's side. I squirm into that spot with just my back legs and tail showing. When Dad comes home from work we play a game. He calls out, "Where's Annie? Has anybody seen Annie?" I try to hide, but sooner or later the excitement overcomes me and I start wagging, thumping my tail against the night stand.
Bailey and I have become pretty good friends, as much as he will let anyone be his friend. He is SO self-centered. (While I am giving an affectionate...)
Mom has just entered me in a cutest-dog contest on the web, which promises to pay monetary prizes. She has promised to share my winnings fifty-fifty with the PG County Humane Society, the people who took good care of me when my leg got hurt.
The contest runs a week at a time, and you can vote for me once a day. Please go to

Thanks. Your pal, no-longer-an-orphan Annie.
