Long time no bark! Lots to tell you all!

Well, it's been a long time since my mom has been able to come here and type for me. Yesterday was a year since I went to the bridge and mom has had kind of a "ruff" year. My brother Phoenix, who was a gift from some of my mom's friends after I went to the bridge, wasn't able to stay with my mom. He was really really scared of everything and he ended up biting a girl that came in our yard, so my mom found a rescue group to send him to. They have been working with him for a few months to try to not make him so scared and bitey and then they will find a new home for him where there are no kids.
It was sad for my mom to not be able to keep my brother so soon after losing me. She has decided not to get anymore dogs for a while. But she did rescue two kitties from the shelter and they keep her pretty busy.
So, you might have heard - I am SOOOOOOO PROUD of me and my mom. We helped some with the puppymill bill that finally got passed in Indiana. Mommy told my story to every single person who would listen, including some people who help make laws, and even got some of them to rethink their votes! It was awesome! It isn't a perfect law, but it is way better than no law!
So all you dogs and dog parents out there remember, it CAN be done. We CAN change things so that other dogs don't have to suffer like me and my family did.Anyways, my mom came down to my place in the yard yesterday and spent a bunch of time talking to me and remembering all the fun stuff we used to do together. She misses me so much! I hope she felt me there by her side yesterday. I think she did.

Oh Charlie, I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. Your mom did a good thing finding him a rescue that will help him with his problems. He'll be in good hands. Charlie, it is so good to hear from you again. I know that your mom felt you with her yesterday and all of the other days when she worked so hard to help get that law passed. The pawprints that you left on her heart will be with her always. I am sorry to hear that your brother Phoenix could not stay with your mom but she did the best thing she could for him and I know he will be just fine. I am glad to hear that she has two kitties now to keep her company. Puppy hugs and kisses.

Sweet Charlie, we are so happy to hear from you and to know you are happy and healthy again at the bridge. We know your Momma felt you there with her yesterday. Wonderful to hear from you Charlie! And we are so proud of your Mom for all she did to get that law passed! We're sure your Mom felt you by her side and all the love you send her way just as you know how much she loves you, even though you have to be apart from her for awhile. Charlie, I'm sure she knew you were there. It's so hard being a Mom and losing our loved furbabies. Mine's not going to get any more after me but she will still have my sister cat Lizzie. My Mom wants to spend her time trying to get the laws changed to be harder on people who abuse animals. Contratulations to your Mom for what she did. Keep an eye out for me Charlie....I'm 16 and almost 2 months....I'm trying to stay as long as I can but Mom says when I want to go just let her know.
