If any of you Doggy's that live in the Richmond Va or North Carolina area can you please report your weather situation here.

Daddy is on his way to Richmond Va and will be staying the night there and continuing on tomorrow to NC. We were just wanting to know how the roads are since he drives a semi and we are always worried about him out there.

So if you could please let us know your road conditions so mommy does not have to sit here wondering we would really appreciate it.

Well daddy just left Garysburg NC on his way to Portsmouth VA to pick up a load and then he will venture through Washington DC and head through Maryland through PA, through Ohio and get on the turnpike he has to get to Livonia Michigan. He is hoping to get loaded in Portsmouth as soon as possible so he can get out of there before you all get the snow......

I will Tyson thanks.......I know here in Rockford they are really bad about the secondary roads....The arterial roads they are pretty good at......Daddy use to work for the city and did the plowing. So their main concerns here are the arterial and we have to wait until they are done with that.....BOL......Once the streets they are plowing are running water then they move on.

This area (N VA, MD, DC) is so bad about clearing streets, although since mom has been here there has only been 2 big storms. They have already blown all the budgets for snow removal. When mom lived up in NJ her street was plowed a couple times during a storm, it was a real eye-opener moving down here. Tell your dad to stay safe and stay on that CB!

I will see said going the other way a semi hit the interstate sign, took down the whole structure. Said he got tied up at a truck stop trying to get fuel....said it was nothing but ice and trucks were stuck all over the place so he lost an hour there....said he told the girl why don't they have salt down and she said they have been trying to get someone out their and can't. So needless to say he is not a happy camper right now.....glad he went through a dead zone because mommy got disconnected from him.....BOL.....otherwise she would still be hearing about it......We are getting our snow right now and calling for 14 inches.......

Mommy just talked to daddy. He said he is 100 miles from Richmond and when he leaves Richmond tomorrow he will be going to Garysburg NC. He said that they are talking on the CB that you all are suppose to get freezing rain and snow. Said weather alerts are out.

The North Carolina mountains are supposed to get snow. The piedmont might could git some sleet/freezing rain (anything North of Interstate 40.) South of I 40 should be rain. Last weekend they said we'd git all this nasty weather and it fizzled. We will be praying for a safe trip. Princess Bailey lives in Virginia Beach. And Mollie RIP, lives in Charlottesville, close to Richmond. They might could tell you how Virginia weather is.

the big highways, 95,85 77 are usually clear. have heard threats of sleet and freezing rain but today was t shirt weather, sunny and warm. could change tomorrow. what day is he leaving and is he driving down the eastern coast I95 the middle I85 or west I 77? i can send the weather report from where ever he is.

Hey Min Pin Gang, I don't know which highways your daddy will be taking but the main highways like 95, 64, 295 from Richmond going South are probably OK. I would think places like Fredericksburg and further north are probably still not very good. And, yes, we are expecting sleet/snow tomorrow afternoon and then snow Wed. morniing. BUMMER!! We will say a prayer and send an to watch over your daddy that he makes his destination safe and sound and gets to come home this weekend. Love Mollie and Angel Daisy

Thanks Tyson I mentioned to him about the our storm headed that way and he said OH GREAT. He did not make it home this past weekend and he surely would like to get home next weekend.....Thank you so very much for all the informative info you have given us.... Ok, Daddy had to tell me that we live southeast of Richmond. Hey, I'm a dog. All I know is how to get to my favorite park. Woof. Your daddy might drive close to where I live depending on which part of North Carolina he is going to. Stay safe!

Forgot to tell your daddy to be careful we are expecting another storm tomorrow through Wednesday with freezing rain south of northern VA. Please be careful and let us know if he arrived safely, we will pray that he has safe travel.
