Can't Receive or Give Gifts. Anyone Else?

We haven't been able to purchase gifts from DS for awhile, like everyone else. So we tried to send a free one to someone this morning--and NOTHING! They never got it. We received e-mail yesterday, today and several times in the past month or so saying someone sent us gifts---and NOTHING!
Anyone else having this problem?
I see possible next week we may be able to buy gifts, etc.

Hey furiends, can one of you please possibly cut and paste the message you are receiving via email that you have received a gift (that was never actually received) into the comment section here for me to review? Also, can you please confirm that this is occurring with both purchased and free gifting on DS? I hope to have very good news about credits and purchasing on DS later today! I think everyone is having a problem getting credits but we still get gifts ...thats weird !!
