Hannah lives with an elderly couple in an old country home in Tennessee; they also foster for the humane society, what they lack in money they make up for in love (sound familiar?) This came a few minutes ago. She's been with them well over a year, but today was a first for her.

I believe "Hannah" must mean amazing. Hannah decided to join the thundering crew when they went out the front door this morning. A first for her. As we were both there, we allowed her freedom to roam the 680 sq. foot front porch that wraps about 2/3 of the way around our home. She worked her way along the wall to one end and then back the railing until she found the steps. You have to understand, we sit perched on top of a ridge and there are many severe drop offs and steep inclines. You have to also understand that I am an overprotective mom. When she started down a steep slope, I started down the steps, but he stopped me and said to watch. She took one step over the edge and came back up. Then she followed the edge line, stopping every so far to smell. She went to the front of the little patch of grass and did the same thing, marking in several spots. Then she completed her circle, back up the steps, and continued her route following the railing until she found the steps on the other side that open up to the parking area. She scoped out the limits of that, back to the steps and then followed the wall back to the door. Her daddy says she sees more for a blind "person" than anyone he had ever seen. ...and they say dogs are not intelligent...Yeah, right...

    I don't see why Alex can't run this page? I know we have had issues, but we are friends, and friends have the right to talk to each other....... Sometimes others read that we were angry and bickering, NO, we were NOT. We were discussing things that we had issues with. But I do miss him.
