This is the shelter where I was adopted from.  It is a really good shelter and they took really good care of me.

about me

A nice person from a no-kill animal shelter in Virginia found me and rescued me.  I was in bad shape. I was nursed back to good health.  My  mommy came to the shelter one day and fell in love with me.   She adopted my on July 4th, 2004, which is now my official birthday.  That was the best day of my life! 

I have been in my new home for  five years.  I really like where I live.  We have a really nice park that I go to a lot.  They have lots of deer that I love to howl at!  Mommy takes really good care of me.   I am very loved, spoiled and happy.   Treats, belly rubs and walks in the park are what I love and my mommy.    I have the best mommy!   

I love to look out the window and look for kitty cats.  When I see one I start howling.  My mommy thinks that is cute.  I love to chase cats in the neighborhood and I would catch one if I could get off my leash.   Beggin' Strips, hot dogs and doggie ice cream are my favorites. 

I have a big pillow with my name on it but sometimes I sneak on the couch and get hair everywhere.   I really like sleeping with mommy when daddy is deployed.

A St. Patty's Day gift from my secret paw

    Hey Smores I am glad you like the card and Pic, wow it sure got there fast. You are such a wonderful friend so of course I think of you!!!!!! and I too wish they made a green doggie ice cream, I guess we'll will have to settle for vanilla!!!!!!!

    hi, Smores! just checking in to see how you are doing. did you get any snowflakes today? mom saw some this evening. she and dad were standing at the patio door and mom said she saw a couple of flakes, then dad said, yeah, he just saw some too. then all of a sudden it was coming down hard. then it stopped as fast as it started! nothing! i am glad we didn't get anymore snow. i am ready for spring!! have you been to the park recently? mom's physical therapist wants her to start walking, but she said that i didn't like to walk with her. she told her that she couldn't use that as an excuse. so i guess she's gonna FORCE me to walk with her! bummer. i don't know why she can't just take the cat for a walk! she might get farther with the cat than me!!     Smores....I wish she would of brought the Walker hound. But she was asked by a local rescue to help a beagle mix that has a torn ACL. And they KNOW she does beagles, so they thought we could socialize it and help it heal? BOL! Yeah, right. I mean, I sometimes can be antisocial to dogs that come in. Mom said she will not tolerate THAT anymore. Oh, I guess I will learn something new
