Our feature dog of the Month of March:

I choose Bennie because this is the month she came to us in 2004.  While dad was working on his mail delivery route, he found Bennie very cold and shivering.  She snapped at him and he left her alone for a few moments and left to finish his route.  He came back and she was laying down and he was able to pick her up.  Bennie worked with Dad all day and sat in a mail box with the heat on her.  He shared his tuna sandwich with her and bought her home.  Bennie has been with us since.  She is a darling little girl, who is a bit fearful of people she does not know.  She is a home body and likes to go on walks, but hates the car.  She loves to eat and is a great begger.  She is always happy and rolls on her back to play, especially with dad.  Mom always tells dad she does this because she thanks him every day for saving her.

about me

The Nazario Pack is made of all rescue dogs that have come to our home in many different ways.  Here they are:

 Francis, our oldest.  She was thrown out of a car as a puppy with her collar and ball.  Dad took her and she has been with us since. She is the protector and mother figure of all our dogs.

Juno, dad's friend could no longer care for her, so we are so blessed to have her as our own. She loves to sit outside in the snow and is very independent. She is affectionate and loves, loves, loves Mikey!

Bennie was found by dad in the middle of winter as a stray, she is darling and loves to eat.

Magoo, he was adopted from Illinois Cocker rescue and had lived in 4 homes until he found his permenant home with us. He is handsome and very agile and fast. 

Sophie (our Maltese) was a stray again found by dad, luckily in the summer, but no one claimed her, so she is ours! She guards the home from squirrels and rabbits! 

Mikey a very cute Cockapoo, who came as a foster puppy from a puppy mill before being put back on auction. He came with his brothers who were adopted out and we adopted Mikey.  He is affectionate and cuddly. 

Maggie, our newest member of the pack.  She is a brown and white, parti color Cocker Spaniel.  She was a stray from Indiana who we fostered, but decided to adopt.  Dad LOVES her.  She is a precious, sweet girl and loves to spar with Mikey.  She is also hard of hearing due to her canals being closed shut.....but mom's slowly working on that with diet. 

So that's all of us!

Tola went to the Rainbow Bridge on February 26, 2010

I wanted to let all our doggyspace dogs know that Tola's battle with cancer is finally over.  Tola went to the Rainbow Bridge on February 26, 2010.  She lived such a wonderful live with our grandmother in Florida.  She went to the dog park almost every day and played with her dog friends, she loved to lay on the couch and watch TV and loved to bark at motorcycles.  God Bless he...

    Buck didn't care for his antler so we sent it home with 12, Chappy and Whiskey's Mom and Whiskey has claimed it for her own! BOL! Something about girls and antlers!

    Mayo told mom that normally they refer to the clinic that mom is going to. So she struck out on that one. Sigh. I just want her better so we can play more. When she has the headaches, she gets so down, and hides in the house......after she makes it dark! And I want to lay in the sun!~~

    Hey! We practically smothered our mom with hugs when she walked in last night. Boy, did we miss her! She says that you need to tell your mom that she loved meeting her and that they can still keep in human touch on FB. And, yes, we think those are green ladybugs on our background. Zoey Roxy Wilson made that background for us. She's really talented. Our mom can't do anything like that! If your mom finds herself in CA, make sure she lets us know, and we'll make sure we meet her!

    Mom has choice words for the headaches. I can't put them here, because it isn't PG. BOL! And she is so mad at the clinic, she might never go back. All they are concerned about is MONEY, and don't seem to care if the headaches get baetter or not. There have been thoughts about putting mom on NASTY medicine. She is still fighting that, because they can be very addictive.

    He-he, no I was able to plow right through it, a little tough but my mommy always calls me a brute 'cause I just plow through anything. Daddy did make some paths for me and Scooby especially to be able to potty but I had to get those squirrels so I went off the path. Darn, still chasing those nutty little rascals, they drive me CRAZY!!!!!

    Mom still is having the headaches. And is sooooo mad at the place in Chicago. But better not badmouth them here. BOL! The snow is still way WAY deep. we are probably going to flood this spring. But things happen like that I guess. There is no where that ALL of this snow can go. We are hoping for a SLOW melt this next season. HURRY UP SPRING AND GET HERE!!!!
