Hi I'm Cocoa Puff and I'm one crazy doggy. My mom got a call at work about a chocolate lab (me) that needed a home--my current owner didn't want me no more (????). She had me in her apartment and never played with me or let me out. She was going to take me to a dog 'kill' shelter (OH NO). My mom came over to the lady's home out in the country and it was LOVE at FIRST sight! Thanks goodness. She also brought the kids, Ash and Alex....well they wanted me too, so it was a no brainer to put me in the car and take me home. Once home, well there was a older Lab already there and DAD. Not a warm welcome, I can tell you. The dad got mad at my new mom for bringing me home and Tanner, well he just wasn't too happy to see me. He'd had a knee surgery a month before and just wasn't able to handle my 'bouncy' spirit and great maneuvers. Time passed, and Tanner & I played tug of rope/war, which he always won because I was just a 3 month old pup. But I put up a GOOD fight, I can tell you that. I nipped his ears and BARKED a whole bunch in them too. Maybe that's why he's deaf today? Not sure. I know I push him over occasionally, and I bark in his ears, and I try to steal his food, and get in & out of the door ahead of him, but I LOVE HIM! I also love to camp with my family and my pet Alex is the Best! He lets me sleep on his bed at night and takes GOOD care of me. And my pet Ashley, well she taught me everything I know. Mom will always hold a special place in my heart for bringing me home to my wonderful family. p.s. Dad loves me too, even though he won't admit it!

Hi my fellow doggies; Guess what? I get to go ICE FISHING today!! Yippee! I love ice fishing. But it's not like it is back East. We don't have a Warm hut on the frozen ice. BUT my dad did by a little 'wind' shelter (I'll try to find a picture of me in it tomorrow). That's what I like to do, lay in the shelter and watch Alex & Dad get cold. Hi Cocoa, I am soooo very glad you had so much fun ice fishing. I have never been ice fishing but I have been fishing with my mommy at a pond. I tried to catch the fish off her hook, yippee now that was fun. I dont like the water so I just got in up to my belly. See I tried to catch Bo out in the water one time and I went in over my head and it scared me, although I did start swimming I just wouldnt go back in again. Mommy said she wished that she had taken me to the lake when I was a puppy that way I would have been loving the water by now. We might get snow Wednesday, I hope so. I chased a squirrel in the yard today, it was fun. Smoochies to you my friend.

Cocoa Puff - How are ya, buddy?? I am the administrator of Chocoholics. I have, however, neglected my duties. Mommy and I just moved into a new home and we have been busy, busy, busy - mommy with packing/unpacking - me with sniffing out all the new smells in this place - keeps this ol girl busy, busy, busy. Hello Cocoa, Happy New Year! Gosh it's been a while, how are you? We are doing just great! We pulled our motor home out of the barn and loaded it up today for our trip to the city of Florence,Oregon next week. Mom has to work there a few days so we will stay in a bed and breakfast place a couple nights! then drive up or down the coast to look at houses. Mom wants to get one on or near the beach. May is fine for me, it's also my human's parents wedding anniversary the 21st, BOL we can celebrate both events together. I joined the Wedding group, I think there's also another one which provides hotel, reception and parties, wofff! You'll have to prepare your wedding dress darling and your bridesmaid...hmmm, someone wanted to be, but I can't remember who said that in a comment, later I'll tell you! Oh! My best friend, Molly, her mom just got back from visiting fmaily in Idaho, she went to Post Falls! We got a few inches 2 days ago! But in mid-December we got about 3 feet aorunf my downtown home! Portland was totally filled, but I am in downtown Vancouver area! I hope we can be great friends! Hi Cocoa, yeah, Momma calls me all kinds of nicknames. Guess what - one of the cats is sitting on my blankey on the couch that looks out the window. I guess that's okay, because I'm on Momma's lap typing this to you. I guess I can share my blankey. They already took over my fancy bed - what more do they want?
