blurbI am an 11 year old mixed breed dog. I don't know my mix but I suspect I am part Pit Bull and Shepherd. Pit Bulls are banned here so I am registered as a Shepherd Cross.
about meI was found on the highway when I was only 8 weeks old. My ladies never had a dog and tried to give me away but I stole their hearts and became a member of the family. I live with my two humans and three cats. We all get along very well.
Everyone keep asking about my name. No, it was not where I was found. Tomson Highway is a human. I was found near a native reserve so my ladies gave me an aborginal name. You can read a short biography of Mr. Highway here:
Tomson Highway was born in a tent near Maria Lake, Manitoba in 1951. He was the 11th of 12 children born to Joe and Pelagie Philomene Highway. His father, Joe, was an accomplished hunter, fisherman and sled-dog racer. His family lived a nomadic lifestyle and his first language was Cree. His parents, with no access to books, TV or radio, would tell their children stories, and Tomson fell in love with the oral tradition of storytelling. When he was six, he was taken from his parents and family and placed in residential school in The Pas. Although he resented being taken away from his parents and family, he did learn music, and had plans to become a concert pianist. He traveled to London to study, and earned his music degree in 1975 and a Bachelor's of Arts in 1976 from the University of Western Ontario. But instead of becoming a professional concert musician, Highway instead decided to dedicate his life to the service of his people.

My mom had a bad day at work today. She had to deal with a domestic violence case involving animal abuse. What is the matter with people? This man thought it was funny to get his girlfriend's puppy drunk! When his girlfriend got home she got upset with the man and he hit her. Hello all. It's October and my ladies are crazy. We are going camping this week. I don't think they realize how cold it is outside. I don't like having my picture taken but maybe they can sneak a shot or two in and I will post them next week. At least I will get lots of off leash time in the woods. That's the best part of camping
