Have you ever awoken in the morning and said, "TODAY we are getting the puppy!!!"?  My advice to you is, "GO BACK TO BED!!!"  haha....just kidding....KINDA. ;o)  (Now, if *I* ever wake up and say that again, you have my permission to hit me in the head with the nearest object you can find - - just make sure you KNOCK - ME - OUT!)

We adopted the little brown puppy in the picture.  We named her Mindy.  Why Mindy?  I have no clue.  We should have named her POOPER because that's ALL she does! Early morning, morning, mid-moring, one minute after mid-morning, ....it's an endless poop session.  I've never seen anything like it.  (I think she could go without eating for a day or two and still be pooping away!)  We took her to the Vet's, thinking something might be wrong with her, something that hopefully one little pill could fix, but no such luck. (DANG!!!!)  Lucky for her, she has THE cutest little face, or I just might throw her out with the poop!

Hi every doggy!!!

My name is Mindy.

I'm 9 weeks old now.

I'm a Chichauau X Shih Tzu .

I have a big, and I do mean BIG brother; his name is Gotti.
Gotti's a GOOD big brother because he likes to play tag with me, and when we play ball, he always gets to it first, but then he gives it to me so I can carry it half way back to mom.

My typical day goes something like this:

Mid-night: Wake Mom so she can take me outside. (I need to look around for a few minutes.)

12:05 AM: Mom lets me inside; I immediately find some place to go potty.

12:05:10 AM: Mom becomes fully awake as she screams "NO!!!!!"  (She moves like lightening when she wants to.)

12:05:12 AM: Back outside I go.  (Why? I don't know.  I've already pee'd or sucked the poop back up into my body so far that it's not coming out anytime soon.)  The stare-out begins; I always win.

12:10 AM: Back into my crate.  (I'm exhausted. I fall back to sleep in about 10 seconds.  Mom, well, she likes to lay there, tossing and turning for the next 30 minutes or so.  She can be so annoying at times. Shesh. How rude!)

2:15 AM: Remember that poop that got sucked back up into my body?  Well, it wants OUT, and it wants out RIGHT NOW!  I start screaming for Mom to take me out again, but she just lays there.

2:20 AM: I'm on the verge of exploding when Mom FINALLY wakes up.

2:20:07 AM: Outside I go. (But WAIT - - what's THAT?!?!?  A STICK! I FOUND A STICK!!!)

2:20:10 AM: Mom opens the door and yells, "GO POTTY MINDY!!"  (Shesh...some people are so testy.)

2:20:30 AM: I find the perfect spot to let the load go.  (Ahhhh, relief!)

2:24 AM: Mom raises one eyebrow, opens the door like a whole millimeter and asks, "Are you done??????  Are you SURE you're done????  You'd better be done!  Come in."

2:25 AM: I'm back in my crate. (I'm not tired.  Mom's laying in bed not moving much.  I hope she's alright.  I'd better check.  bark-bark.....wimper, wimper......whine....HELLO??????)

2:40 AM: I think she's dead.  (YAWN -  ZzzZZZzzzZZZzz.)

(whoops, mom's coming, I have to get off the computer before she sees me...I'll tell you more later....cya!!)

A Christmas Story

Christmas eve and all are asleepas I sit in my favorite chair. Snow piles up on the window sillas the fireplace warms the air. And then... I open up my eyes I didn't realize they were shut. What's this? Santa Claus I see? Nah... that's just my ol' lady's big butt. HA!  I couldn't resist.  Hope you all have a Merry Christmas, filled with joy and laughter, with friends and loved ones.&

    Hi Mindy, you are so cute, I love your story with the timeline of how the night went. It was funny, well for us not the mommies. Sometimes I think mommy is dead too I am in her face crying and licking and she doesn't wake up, but that is usually after I have woken her up a few times thru out the night to go potty. She got me when I was 2 months old but that was 12 years ago, and I can't hold me pee all night anymore. She has a tray for me with pee pads on it but I always try and wake her first to go outside. Sometimes I use the tray, I usually use it when she is not home. Who is the other puppy in the picture with you?

    Thanks for being my friend Mindy. You sure are a cute puppy. Honestly, I pooped a lot when i was 9 weeks old but somehow, I managed to sleep through the night, going out before bed & waking mommy around 6 or 7 in the morning to go. You'll get better at it. Happy holidays to you & your pawrents
