about me

Hi, My name is Blitz, I am a pure breed German Shepherd, my AKC name is Sir Blitzen Van Lang. I live in Martinsburg, WV.  I am 11 months old and weight 86 lbs, I have slowed down in gaining weight alot in the last couple months. My human mommy and daddy got me when I was 8 weeks old. At 10 weeks old I weighed in at 20 lbs.  I have two human brother that I love to lick and jump on (they dont like it too much).  I also have to cat sisters, I dont get to play with them because my human mommy is scared I will break their backs.   I am still a puppy so I get into alot of trouble. I love to tear things up, my mommy will only give me balls, squeaky toys or tug of war ropes because I rip everything else up. I love rawhides even though they dont last very long with me. Maybe about 20 mins depending on how big it is.  I love to play ball with my human daddy but I really just love to play with anything. 

I have two doggy uncle's names Snoopy and Arctic and a doggy great-aunt Shadow. You will have to check out their pages too, they are under my friends.

8. Do you like car rides? Not so much anymore. I am getting too big to fit in the back seat with my human brothers
9. Where do you go in cars? To the groomer, vet or visiting family
10. Do you talk a lot? Nope
11. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being high) how smart are you? 6..for a german shepherd I need to get my act together
12. Do you have any brothers and sisters? 2 human brother and 2 cat sisiters
13. What is your favorite food? I only get dog food or rawhids
14. What is the worst thing you have ever done? Tore up the kitchen floor
15. Can you know any tricks? We still need to work on them, I am still to hyper to concentrate
16. What is your favorite snack? Rawhids or better then ears….chewy pigs ears
17. What is your favorite hobby? Playing and more playing
18. Where is your favorite place or places to go? Home
19. Do you have a best friend? My brothers are my best friend, but they don’t like to play much since I am twice there size
20. Where do you sleep? In my crate
21. Do you have a favorite toy? Balls and a squeaky rubber monkey, cant have stuffed ones anymore, I eat the stuffing
22. What is the best thing you did for your Mommy? Nothing that I know of yet
23. Do you like swimming? I have never been swimming
24. What do you do when no one is looking? Tear things up
25. Are you friendly? Yeah, sometimes too much
26. Do you bite? Yeah, and my mommy gets mad, I don’t bite hard just put my teeth around her arm, she doesn’t like that at all
27. Do you like the vet? Its ok, they are really nice there.
28. Have you been to a pet store? Yeah, when I was smaller, I havent been in awhile
29. What does your collar look like? Its blue with silver stars
30. What is the most coolest thing you have ever done? don’t know if its happened yet

OH MY DOG....I LOVE MY SECRET PAW

I GOT A WONDERFUL PACKAGE FROM MY SECRET PAW TODAY...I WAS TOTALLY SUPRISED....I GOT RAWHIDES, PIGS EARS, THIS COOL BALL WITH A TUG ROPE, MAIL TRUCK WITH A TUG ROPE AND THIS PAWSOME VIRBRATING BALL THAT I LOVE.  I WANT TO THANK MY SECRET PAW SO MUCH FOR THINKING OF ME THIS CHIRSTMAS AND I HOPE THEY HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY.

    The SPCA told mom how old I was. She hopes there right, but she is going to ask someone else to look at my teeth. All the pictures are pretty recent. The profile is only about two weeks old. And she says I am pretty immature acting. That's just because I am always wanting to kiss everybody.

    I get all the food I want in a day, my problem is I just don't want to eat it! Mommy and Daddy have tried many tricks and I am now liking a special GSD food called Royal Canin - Its made especially for GS puppies like us!! I still really like it when I get some canned food mixed in...makes it like a treat! I think all in all, on a good day lately, I eat up to 4 cups, but somedays I just don't want any doggie food. Mommy and Daddy are running out of tricks! I really like it when the food is in my Kong and I can bat it around to make the food fall out! Problem is the Kong doesn't hold that much food so I have to keep bringing it back to Mommy so she can keep refilling it!

    You are SUCH a handsome fellow. And it's ok for one dude to say that to another when it's the truth. We can't help it we're good looking. LOL! In spirit, we could be twins. I enjoy all the same things you do and I wasn't allowed to play with kitties either. My sister feline sister just passed away and I would give her total grief!!! If I ever go through WV we'll have to get together and play!

    Hey Blitz, My Mommy said to tell your Mommy that GSDs are puppies longer than other breeds, she says we don't get our "brains" until we are two and this is because we are so smart! SHe says hang in there as the rewards with us are great!

    My mom is still trying to figure if I am as old as the SPCA thought I was. She knows they usually know their stuff, but I was only in foster for a month before mom got me in June and that means I was a stray for 11 months. Kind of hard to believe that I ran around a town of 50,000 for that long without being hurt and not having heartworm. But she looves me no matter what. Have a great week. Riley
