blurb

PhotobucketMy name is Princess Misti Morning Skye. Mommy and Daddy call me Misti. I was born on April 28,1987. I lived most of my life in Denver,Colorado until we moved to a small town in Colorado. I have since gone on the trip to the Rainbow Bridge. I was so very nice and quiet there. I loved it. I used to be very afraid of the thunder and when we moved out to the small town on the Eastern Plains. I wasn't afraid anymore. Strange isn't it. Mommy and Daddy are still trying to figure that one out! I now live at the Rainbow Bridge but I told you that already. I came to the Rainbow Bridge on New Years Eve 2005. I lived to be 18 1/2 years old. As I understand it that is pretty old for a doggy. Here at the Bridge we have a beautiful meadow with a lake and lots of trees and flowers. We have all the food, treats and toys we could ever want. We can eat and eat all we want and never get a tummyache or never be overweight. Isn't that amazing! We each have a cloud and of course we have our wings. We can fly or float over our families to check on them and see how they are doing. We send hugs and kisses to them when they feel breezes on their faces. We have new arrivals almost everyday which is sad. But just so their families know they are no longer in pain and are just like puppies again running and playing and having lots of fun. All the Bridge Angels greet each new arrival with lots and lots of love and make them feel welcome. We know it is hard for them as well as their families. I used to love to go for car rides on two lane roads in the Rocky Mountains. Mommy would tell me to look for Bambi(deer) and Smokey(bear). Silly Mommy! I would look out the window up into the trees to see if I could find them. Sometimes I would see a Bambi but never a Smokey. Good thing I don't know what I would have done if I had seen Smokey. I only grew to weigh 5 pounds. When Mommy got me on the first visit to the Vet I weighed 9/10th of a pound. Mommy was so excited when I finally got to be a POUND PUPPY. Now I want to meet lots and lots of furiends here on Doggyspace. I will love to hear all about them and where they live and all the adventures they have. Please give me lots of BARKS out to be furiends. I will hear you even though I'm here at the Bridge. Can't wait to start meeting all of you!

about me

I will tell you something about myself. My Mommy always wanted a doggy that she could put a bow on top of their head. So here I am! My Mommy got me from a place called North Washington Kennels here in Colorado. I was sitting in a dog food bowl because I was so little my feet would go through the grill stuff of my cage floor. Mommy saw me and as that the end no more looking! She didn't have enough money so she had to leave and go home and she talked to her Daughter who lived with her at that time into coming to see me. When they came back I was sitting there waiting for my Mommy you see I knew she was going to be my Mommy the minute we looked into each others eyes. When Mommy's Daughter seen me that was it for her also. I was going to my new forever home. She helped Mommy buy me. It was on the 3rd of July and Mommy had just had her Birthday on July 1st so I was a belated Birthday gift I guess you could say. Wasn't that awesome! So Mommy picked me up and off we went of course after I was paid for Mommy isn't a thief HA! HA! to my new forever home. Mommy's friend was driving and Mommy of course wanted to hold me but her Daughter said NOPE I get to hold her after all I helped you get her. Silly! I guess that a far though. I knew I was Mommy's baby no matter who held me to go to my new home. On my first visit to the Vet this is kind of funny as an aside thing you see I was really small and the Vet's name was Dr.Short and he was short  anyway hen he put me on the scale to weigh me I only weighed 9/10th of a pound not even a pound. I wasn't even a pound puppy. See like I said I was really little and SHORT! But I really thought I weighed 100 pounds that is what Dr.Short said about me. He was right. I guess it is a small dog thing. After he said that about me I could see that we had something in common and I really like him. He said I would be very smart that he could tell and he was right if I do say so myself. I wasn't afraid of anything. Mommy's son had a Pitbull named Chopper and I wasn't afraid of him. He was a really BIG BABY. He is here at the Bridge with me. I was tougher than him HA! HA! I'm going to tell you something kind of gross but but really considering I was so little and we lived at that time in an apartment. When I was little HA! HA! like I ever got BIG! Anyway I would follow Mommy everywhere she went and I mean everywhere! It could get dangerous because of my size but as I said I was tough. I had to really be on the lookout where her feet were. I would follow Mommy into the bathroom when Mommy had to use the facility and Mommy got this silly idea that if I as going to follow her in there I might as well go potty also. So here is the gross part she picked me up and put me in the bathtub and said go potty. I learned to go potty in the tub! Mommy would tell me to go pee and I would then I would wait for her to rinse it down the drain and then she would tell me to go poop and I would then she would pick it up and flush it down the toilet. I learned how to do all that in the tub. Mommy kept a rug over the edge of the tub and when I got bigger I would jump in all by myself whenever I had to go potty. Then I would go get Mommy by barking and going crazy and make her come into the bathroom and I would go back and forth from the tub to the toilet barking until Mommy cleaned it up and put it in the toilet and sent it away. I seen Mommy do that with it when she first started doing this with me. See I said I was smart! I knew where the gross stuff was supposed to go. It came in really handy when we had big snowstorms and I couldn't go outside to do my business or when Mommy was at work. I would always make her go into the bathroom when she got home from work and clean up the tub. Flush away the poop and rinse away the pee and then wash the tub! No matter where we lived Mommy never had to worry about me doing my business where I wasn't supposed to. When we moved out to the small town it worked out really good at night because it was very dark even with the outside light on and Mommy and Daddy were afraid of me being out there. I was never outside by myself. There were foxes and coyotes out there and they would have thought I was a pretty good dinner! I did only grow to be a great BIG 5 pounds so I would have been just right for them. So that is a little bit about me and my long and happy life more to come later.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR

Posted on: 1 year ago

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Rainbow Bridge. We are very busy up here getting ready to light the way for Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve. Of course we will enjoy watching our families down there on Earth celebrating both Santa and the birth of Jesus. It is a busy time of year for everyone but remember to love one another. Have a wonderful Christmas no matter...
