about me

My name is Koda and I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters.  I turned 1 in July.  I live in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia.  My dad is a police officer and my mom works at home.   I love everything especially watching Virginia Tech football with mom and dad.  I am a true Hokie Dog!

My mom is going to let me walk with her in the Dog Walk Against Cancer in memory of my sister Mira who died of cancer before I was born.  I sure wish I could have known her.

I like playing with my friends Gracie, Sissy, Sidney and Lucy! And my brothers and sisters Makia, Akia, Taki, Shyenne and Shanook.

Yipee....our town just got a new doggie daycare.  Mom is going to take me Yappy Hour to play with the other doggies at the play ground!!!

Husky Rules:

  • The husky is not allowed the run of the house.
  • Okay, the husky is allowed to roam in the house, but only in certain rooms.
  • The husky is allowed in all rooms, but has to stay off the furniture.
  • The husky can get on the old furniture only.
  • Fine, the husky is allowed on all furniture, but is not allowed to sleep with the humans on the bed.
  • Okay, the husky is allowed on the bed, but by invitation only.
  • The husky can sleep on the bed whenever it wants, but not under the covers.
  • The husky can sleep under the covers by invitation only.
  • The husky can sleep under the covers every night.
  • Humans must ask permission to sleep under the covers with the husky.

    My big sister Asia died today during surgery to remove a tumor.  She made it through surgery but went into cardiac arrest during recovery.  We got to celebrate her 13th birthday yesterday.  Mom says we will all be together and meet at the bridge one day.  Mom and Dad are very sad....I am too.  Asia had blue eyes like mine.  We are going to have her funeral tomorrow, w...

      Hello Koda! Thanks for being my new friend! Sorry I hadn't made it over earlier! now I'm gone.. I also want to send my Condolences on the loss of your sister! I would like to ask you a favor.. My passing was caused by Choking on a Raw Hide Chew! If I can save one doggie from Choking,and leaving his family very unhappy, I have done a good deed! Please pass on to all your friends not to buy!       Hi Koda, How are you? Mom is so busy this summer she can't take a vacation so she decided we would take a virtual vacation here on doggyspace. We want to go to as many places as we can. Mom said she thinks we can travel 200 thousand miles this summer. I think she's nuts but I'm up for her game. Mom would like to know where in Virginia you live so she can put down how many miles we traveled to see you. Bol...yes now I know she's nuts. I have brought a ball so we can play a little bit and if you don't mind please tell mom one thing she can do while we are there

      Oh Koda, I am so happy to hear barks from you. I have misses you. Yeah our Hokies did great. We were so excited. Thanks for liking the articles about puppy mills. Now that the underage kids are on their way out of DS, adults are controlling the puppy mill groups here on DS and I think we will be able to make a difference. So sorry to hear about the incident on Christmas Eve. Mom lost count of how many times she spent all night in an Emergency Vet. Mom always has said that the dogs never get sick during regular vet hours -- no it has to be a night when it cost $200 just to walk in the door on the Emergency Vet. I hop Taki is feeling better. Accidents happen. When I lived with my husky sister Wiley, we have always hated each other. We would get into awful fights and occasionally Mom would have to take one or both of us to the vet for stitches. One time Mom tried to break it up and I accidently bit her arm - bad and she was bleeding everywhere and had to drive herself to the emergency room, bleeding all over. When she got home she noticed that Wiley has ripped the fur off the front of one of my legs, So with her arm wrapped up, she took me to the vet. Geez. I hope things go well for you in 2009.
