blurbMy name is Cali and the picture of me is me doing what I like to to best - sleep! (Alright, maybe second best because I sure like to eat. Give me a break. I'm a beagle.)
about meI am a 6 year old beagle and am now living in a nice house, with a big backyard and lots of walks and rawhide chews. My life wasn't always like this. You see, my original owner died and the person who took me in kept me chained outside in the woods way behind his house with just a little dog house to live in. It wasn't too much fun. Everytime it rained I had to sleep in the mud. And it was very cold in the winter and I hate the cold. Then one day some people from animal control came and took me away. I ended up in the shelter and had to wait 5 weeks before I got to go to my new home.
But now my life is much better. I get to stay indoors with lots of doggie beds to sleep on. The biggest doggie bed even has this thing called an electric blanket that I love to crawl under to sleep. I have to share that bed with my mom, but I don't mind.
Most of the time I have a doggie friend or two to play with, but they come and go. I am staying here forever.

My friend Annie (www.doggyspace.com/profile/16009) is missing in Hagerstown, MD. She escaped following a car accident on I-70. If you live in that area or know anyone in that area, please keep a lookout for her. Hi Cali, How are you? Mom is so busy this summer she can't take a vacation so she decided we would take a virtual vacation here on doggyspace. We want to go to as many places as we can. Mom said she thinks we can travel 200 thousand miles this summer. I think she's nuts but I'm up for her game. Mom would like to know where in Maryland you live so she can put down how many miles we traveled to see you. Bol...yes now I know she's nuts. I have brought a ball so we can play a little bit and if you don't mind please tell mom one thing she can do while we are there

Cali, hey there, you sure look like Belle- in fact, you could be twins in that she likes to eat (it is a Beagle thing..) and sleep too. Amber's a Beagle as well, just a lemon and she liked the same things and they both love chasing squirrels. Sorry the start in life was a little rocky but you are where you need to be now and that's wonderful...sniff ya later!

Hello Cali! My mom's best friend's name is Cali only it's spelled with a "K". I am glad to hear you have a forever home! I am sorry to hear where you came from, at least you were found and have good home now. I love to take naps too, only I'm not allowed to sleep with my mom at night anymore (I accidently bit her once and she had to go to the ER). I can only nap with her. She thinks it was because I was having nigtmares about where I came from. ENJOY your new home! Perch
