about me

My name is Luke. I am named for Saint Luke. You know. He wrote one of the gospels. (Saint Luke 12:32) I was born in little Washington, North Carolina, on April 20, 2008, at Bass Kennel. Moms came to see me first when I was a little over four weeks of age, and took me home to Bethel ("House of God"), North Carolina, for good on June 13, 2008. I go with moms everywhere~~~I have only been alone for a few hours one evening when moms went to a family reunion~~~and then, I got to sleep in a hotel! What an adventure~~~I have been to many places in eastern North Carolina, and I have my very own special car seat and lots of blankies and toys. I don't like the cold, so moms has plenty of blankets to keep me warm and I love my stylish shirts, sweaters and hoodies. I am not afraid to wear pink, or have pink blankies even if I am a little boy doggie. I love to eat, especially meat, chicken and fish (the fishier, the better~~~phew-ie!!!) I adore my Authority Puppy Growth and Development treats, but moms says they smell like feet! So, when she calls me to get my special treat, she says, "come get your "feet," Luke!" I have a big "doggy" sister, Lua. She is an eleven year old chocolate Labrador Retriever, and she doesn't mind my antics. She is a good big sister! I have a "cousin doggy," Sebastian, moms' grand-pooch. Sea Bass, as moms calls him, doesn't appreciate my puppy energy. Sea Bass is a four year old tweenie-sized dachshund, and moms grand-pooch 'cuz he's her daughter, Nassim's, doggie. I love all doggies and all humans~~~and most food. Moms thinks I am the best thing since sliced bread, whatever that means. I am her Luka-Buka-Boo.

*** update - my beloved big fur-sissy Pretty Girl Lua on the Trail passed on to the Rainbow Bridge on 24 March 2010, just a few months before her 13th birthday. We all miss you, Lua, and we will all be together one day at the Rainbow Bridge. Muah! from me, Moms, Cameron, Daddy Jon, Nassim & Brent, and all your fur-cousins...

My Moms...

Hello, all! Wow. It has been quite a long time since I have posted, but my moms needed me to be her "personal physician" for a bit. Moms went through a very rough time indeed between the very-end of last year (2009) right up until July of this year. I am very happy to say that she is "on the mend" and much, much improved.
