about meI'm 12, and I'm the Newfoundland. The other big guy is my brother, Chappy. He's a Leonberger. Whiskey is our sister, and she's an Australian Shepherd.
Because I get asked so often about how I got my name, here is the story...
All of our names come from a silly story our mom and her friends made up on a long drive to Tahoe. They were going so slowly driving in the snow that they started joking around about dog sledding and how there were these three dogs called Chappy, 12, and Whiskey that would get into trouble when out sledding. Mom and her friends built upon the story over the years, and because she always names us after special things in her life, we got the names from the story!
Our birthdays:
12's birthday is February 2, 2001
Chappy's birthday is October 4, 2003
Whiskey's birthday is unknown, but we think it's in April, 2008, so I'll be celebrating a dual birthday with mom on April 13.

12, Chappy and Whiskey- here's a puppy blow by blow from today......ok, got up and had extra treats with breakfast, then more mid morning, then we ran outside and snacked on birdseed from the feeders that Momma was filling, chased a whole lot of squirrels, took a nap, got "snatched up" for a shower (yikes), chased more squirrels, ate dinner and then more snacks and now we just finished lots of rawhide. Talk about a good day...

That is such an excellent question that I don't know who to answer. My mom makes like a 2 & 1/2 size ball for the cockers and give them maybe 2 chicken wings. The meat in the morning and the chiken wings in the afternoon. This is when she does straight raw and not mixing it in with kibble. She then doubles it with the husky and shephard becausee they double the cockers weight and size. She does less with the Maltese. She was confused when she began this raw diet thing and I'm not sure there are specific measurments. Cooper, Romeo and Chipper's mom I believe does straight raw, she might be a good person to talk to as well.

As for the veggie slush, mom uses maybe about 25% so they can get all the veggie nutrients. Mom purees broccoli, carrots, kale, spinach....she tries to get veggies with a high nutrient content and vary the color veggies as well. She will also smash up some sweet potatoes and or pumpkin. Then she mixes it with the ground meat, splits it up, puts it in baggies and freezes it and takes it out to thaw. She also mixes it with some higher grade of kibble, we would be broke otherwise with so many of us and two of us being larger dogs. The fresh bones are also not given to all dogs, our Maltese loves them put coughs up pieces of bone and blood, so no raw bones for her. The others are fine with the raw bones, but everyone has to eat them separately of course. Too many problems if they eat them in the same room....stealing, arguments, fights.....It stresses mom out way too much when we get raw bones. Hope that helps!

Hey guys! Is your mom at work like my mom is at work????? It's Monday and she is feeling a little bored and a client did not show up, so she is filling in time, could do paper work, but well DS is so much more interesting. How has your mom been this last week, our mom is still thinking about how much she enjoyed meeting your mom and all the other mom's at the IKC show.
