blurbEverywhere we go someone always asks WHAT KIND OF DOG I am! My mum calls me a CHEWINGEE. She said with all the hospital bills I ran up, I deserved my own designer dog name! She just made the name up out of whatever breeds I'm mixed with, but it still makes me feel special!
about me I sat and sat on Pet Finders waiting for someone to adopt me. I went from foster homt to foster home. My last foster home did not want me underfoot and in the way during the holidays. I found my new person the week before Christmas, go to my forever home, and BAM! the very next day I got really, really sick. I thought my new person was going to send me packing and right back to another foster home.
I spent the next SIX days in the hospital with pneumonia. Was I ever sick. They thought my 106 degree fever was gonna cause brain damage. I wonder if it did?? It was touch and go for the first 3 -4 days. Then I felt much better was finally able to go to my new home. Even though she said I was the most expensive dog she ever had, she still kept me! Am I a lucky dog or what?? How could you resist a handsome boy like me with hazel eyes, a muscular little body, and a nice little pink nose?
My REAL name was Prince Bowser but SHE decided it was too foofy a name for me. When she rushed me to the hospital, I somehow came home as BUBBA. It fits me much better since I'm such a macho man.
Boy did I luck out finding my new home. We go hiking, walking, kayaking, run on the beach, doggy day care,or something every day. We are working our way through the dog parks and open space areas in our state! I still don't have that kayaking thing down, but when I fall off the bow of the boat, mom just grabs me by my life jacket as I float on by and saves me.

We are just back from CAMP UNLEASHED located in the Mass Berkshires. We started off with hi hellos how are you to our friends from last year. Then we all got hats, bandanas, all sorts of healthy treats, and we even got a dog CD to calm your dog. Mum's playing it for me right now to try and calm me down from 4 days running off leash.We did agility..I was bored after the 1st run...this is NOT a chal... (read more)

Hi Bubba! We have the same name!! Thanks for being my friend! I'm glad you got such an awesome person to live with! Hehe!! I was the escape artist in my litter, but I don't try now...I have it too good to want to escape! How was your Christmas? Our's was good and bad, but I guess that's normal. Not sure. I've heard Mom talk to someone before about Camp Unleashed, but I don't know if we'll try it or not. Gotta run, it's almost time to eat breakfast! Wishing you a very safe, happy and healthy new year!

You are very cute. You might have some Basenji in there. I had pneumonia too. Pneumonia sucks. big time. My temp got to 105. I'm so glad I got the Mom I did. She worked at an Animal Hospital and was able to get reduced pricing. It was still big bucks though. Rock on Buddy.

yeah i know how it feels to be in the hospital i had some sort of stones growing in my bladder so now i have to have a special kind of food and treats or else the stones will come back yikes
