I like to RIDE!
Mommie found me on Petfinder a couple of months after her previous dog, Mitzi, crossed the rainbow bridge. She chose me because she thought I might not get adopted since I only have one eye. Little did Mommie know that I actually chose her because I knew she was going to be needing me very badly. When her mommie crossed the bridge two months later, I did my best to help her make it through with my unyielding cheerful attitude.
I get around so well that some people don’t realize at first that I have only one eye. My right eye was injured and hurt really badly when the rescue people found me in Chattanooga. They couldn't save my eye, but I'm just glad it doesn't hurt any more. The only compensation we’ve had to make is when we go for a ride in the car. Then I have to wear my Doggles™ to protect my remaining eye, but I don't mind them at all.
Since I can't tell Mommie about my life before she met me, she has a theory. Mommie thinks I may have been a puppy-mill breeder because they keep the biggest females to breed since we can have more puppies at once than our teacup cousins. Now I get to apply my maternal instincts to a new species: KITTENS! I've raised two so far and if Mommie gets to start fostering orphan kittens, I'll get to raise a bunch more!
I am a proud graduate of PetSmart's™ Obedience Training Class.

Wow. Mommie and the kitties and I moved in with a new pack. We share the basment part of their den now. We have a fenced yard where I can run all day if I want to. And Mommie takes the other two dogs and me on walks now twice a day. I'm having to learn that I'm not the Alpha dog, because I REALLY want to be. But the other dogs are bigger and let me know when I get too full of myself. I'm a lot hap...

What a wonderful dog and a wonderful find. you look very comfortable in your home. Rudy likes to de-squeak too. Dad says he ought to squeak when he walks. He de-stuffs things too. Gald to knew you.

Dooney (2008-08-11 22:40:24)
you are welcome Rosie! Your doggles look really cool!! And you are just extra special with one eye...I was surrendered by my owner with my brother because they didn't know how to handle us...Ha! My new human mommy has no problems with me, she just lets me play, play , play & swim!! One time she caught me in the pool (when we weren't supposed to be in there) with my foster brother and we didn't have any way out. Luckily, she got home in time to get us out - boy, were we tired!!! We won't do that again!! You look like my sister Julie in your picture where you are waving with both paws!your friend, Dooney
