blurb

Well, it's a new year and I still have that yappy dog chasing me up the stairs.  I think it is getting better, at least some days.  I can sneak down the stairs sometimes and he never notices!  Daddy and mommy sometimes come to my rescue and help me sneak outside before Rocco catches me.

I guess I will get over him in a while.  So long as I have my bed, my treats and my roaming space in the house, I do OK.  My mommy spends time with me at night and in the morning so that's OK. 

I get to cuddle just as much as Rocco!

Hi everybody -  My name is Monty. I was rescued from a shelter when I was just 8 weeks old and I love all my family.  I have a lot of energy and love to purr a lot.  I live with my big brother, Rebel, the dobie in Arizona and we are friends most of the time.  I am an indoor/outdoor cat by accident since I escaped out the doggy door one day - I was supposed to be an indoor only cat.  I usually don't go too far from my house and spend about half my time inside.   I live in a small neighborhood - most of the humans know me and let me relax on their decks next to the canal.  I'm pretty tough but cute too!  I really enjoy having "town meetings" with all the cats in our street - there are about 8 of us and we get together at different houses to chat and spat (sometimes).

I got my mom wrapped around my paw!  All I do is "miaow" in different ways and hang around annoying her especially early in the morning until she gives in and gets me treats or food!  She tries to ignore me but she is too soft!  Now I gotta work on dad!

    Hi Monty, One of the kittens Sierra got in trouble. She decided to jump into the computer cabinet when my Mom was on and was having her coffee. Well the coffee went everywhere and left a stain on the carpet. Mom knows she is a kitten and was just being curious but she had to go to the time out room. But our time out room has a cat napper a floor to ceiling cat tree lots of toys and food but she has to be in there alone. And we don't stay in time out for very long.(PS don't tell Mom but I like being in there alone and from the rest of the kitties and Phoebe sometimes). Have a wacky Wednesday!!! Kitty Hugs from Ali

    Hi Monty. You look very comfy up there on your perch. Mummy says someone left me at that park cause I could have never gotten there on my own. It's surrounded by very busy streets and I would have gotten hurt trying to cross them. She gets upset when people do that or let their pets just run loose. I am glad she found me cause she loves all doggies. She likes cats too but she is allergic to you guys so she can't have one.

    your very welcome. The virtual vacation is going pretty well. We have talked to almost all our friends. just have a few states left and then the journal post will really start about where we went and who we saw. Mom is trying to do some posts as we go along but she's gotten behind a little bit. I know she will catch up soon though
