blurbMy name is Rosie and I am the queen of the house. My best friend, Andy, used to be the leader, but unfortunately he got sick and passed away in October. I still miss him. Two days after Christmas, Mom and Dad brought home Deuce. He is a husky. He is also a pain in my rear sometimes. But as long as he realizes that I am the boss, he can stay. I love my Mom. She picked me up at a PetSmart in Tulsa, OK. That is where I lived until Mom and Dad came to Illinois. I have Deuce and there are two human children in the home too. But, confidentially, I think I am Mom's favorite.
about meI am around 10 years old. At least that is the best guess that the vet can give. Before my mom adopted me, I lived with two other families. But unfortunately I have a skin condition and I was returned twice. But when mom came and got me she said she had a "no return policy." So now I have a forever home. And I love it! I am part Bassett Hound and part Dachsund and maybe even part Beagle. Someone in Oklahoma once called me a genuine Texas dachsund. Maybe that is what I am.

Well this is my first writing since I had my doggy doctor visit. It is kind of good news/bad news. They took a sample of my urine and there was no blood in it at that time. The doctor is concerned about how much water I drink and the amount of times I feel that I need to go to the bathroom. Hi Rosie! Thanks so much for being my new buddy! I'm sorry to hear about Andy but I know he's in doggie heaven playing with my mom's other 2 doggies that passed away (they lived very, very long lives!). You look so cute and your brother are living it up! What a wonderful mom, I'm so glad you have a final forever home, that's the best, all of us doggies deserve that! Sorry it took so long to get back to you Rosie. Our computer has been slower as molassas. Well as for Husky problems there are not any that really come to mind. We actually tend to be pretty hardy dogs. We are bread for endurance, intelligence, independence and we are light weight despite our size. Although we need to eat and drink like all dogs, we are quite durable and that's what makes us good sled dogs. As for any outstanding health problems, mom can not think of any. We are sorry Deuce is having some pain. We are drama queens/kings. I spent an evening in the emergency room becausing I was yelping and the vet could not find anything, she finally gave me some aspirin and my mom a bill! Nevertheless, should like he needs a little check up. There are the obvious things, is he eating, drinking, fecal matter normal, urine normal???? Let us know what happens, we will be thinking of you and Deuce.
