Mommy just received a video in the mail from Shia (the injured dog mommy saved). In the video, Shia is running, playing, and barking like nothing has happened. She looks and acts GREAT. And you can not tell she was ever injured.

Countess Chewie (that sounds kinda cute)- glad to be your friend, we've been on DS for a while and are lucky to have as many friends as we do and now one more...YOU! We live in the south and we had a little snow a couple weeks back, that surprised us all and now it's gone and the rain is only a little bit here and there and then we had tons of sun yesterday and more expected today. Now, what does a countess like to eat...chewies, greenies, snacks? Bark soon.

I called my vet and asked about ordering from as far away as you are. They said that as long as it is an over the counter product there should be no problem. If it is a prescription product, then your vet will have to fax or send a prescription for the product. I hope you can figure out what is going on very soon, Countess. My Mom and I are very worried about you.

On our vet's website, I would recommend looking through ALL of the shampoos and consulting your own vet about which one would be best. They have several ones for allergies, sensitive skin, and such and I would hate to recommend something that isn't what you need. Oatmeal formulas will soothe, but not necessarily treat what the problem is. We use it, because we don't know what is causing the allergies beyond food allergies. But your could be something else. Oatmeal is a safe bet. I saw a couple of other ones that might work for you and they are scattered through out the pages. Just go through all of them.

The shampoo we got from Atlas and Presley's Mom is called; Top Performance Oatmeal Shampoo for Dogs and Cats. Manufacturer Tops Pet Products. She could tell you where to order it, or maybe send you some. I like this one because it does have a scent, but doesn't seem to irritate me at all.

The shampoo I get from the vet is called Epi-Soothe: shampoo for dogs, cats and horses: Antipruritic, soothing, hydrating, restoring. By Virbac/Animal Health. Try virbacvet.com for the manufactorer or you could probably order it from the online store at our vet. It is a Canadian product.
