Herman is a Double Dapple Daschund with one blue and one brown eye. Both of Herman's parents were Dapple and when you breed dapple to dapple, dapple DNA hits very severly on the head region causing deformities like blindness, deafness and even missing eyes.

about me

My name is Herman.  I am named after Herman Munster. I came to live with my new owner, Becky, last spring.  Before that, I lived with a busy family with five kids and two other doxies.  I love my new home because it is very quiet and Becky takes me on lots of walks.  I think the walks are doing her A LOT of good because she is getting skinnier. I have five other doxie cousins that I go over and play with sometimes.  My Uncle Erick is a cool dude! I like to swim in his hot tub.  I have a girlfriend that lives next door.  She is just a puppy and she can't ever have puppies, but I like to sniff her anyway.  Becky sometimes takes me to the beach to visit Jack and Katie and their two cats Oly and Olga.  They have no noses and look strange. We have a cat as a roommate. He has lived with Becky for a long time and I don't think he likes me very much because he hisses and wacks me on my head if I get too close.  I try to leave him alone, but I desperately want him to be my friend. I also know a lot of tricks that I do for delicious treats.  I can roll over, speak, dance, sit up, and shake Becky's hand.  Well, that's my life!  I hope I am with Becky forever because she takes good care of me.

    Hi Herman, How are you? Mom is so busy this summer she can't take a vacation so she decided we would take a virtual vacation here on doggyspace. We want to go to as many places as we can. Mom said she thinks we can travel 200 thousand miles this summer. I think she's nuts but I'm up for her game. Mom would like to know where in Oregon you live so she can put down how many miles we traveled to see you. Bol...yes now I know she's nuts.     Hi Herman, our mommy's name is Becky too! Aren't we lucky to have such good mommies? I can do tricks for treats too, but Maggie can't cuz she's just a dumb girl! Mommy says it's not nice to say that but it's true. (and she has a big butt too!)
