My human found me in a pet store. She was NOT going to get a puppy, she had never paid for a puppy. However once I explained I was a princess who needed rescuing she got out her check book and made bail. She brought me home to a german shepard named Jada who of course fell in love with me. She let me teeth all over her and gave me baths (Yuch) Now that I am a grown up I am the alpha dog at our house.
about meMy name is Ming, I am a pekingese. I am 3 years old. I like any kind of food, people who will throw my squeaky toys for HOURS, soft places to sleep (my human's down pillow is a favorite) I DON"T like going outside in the rain (what's wrong with that spot in the corner?) the "other dog" trying to take my treats and bath time. My breed is about 2 thousand years old. We were the dogs of emperors. Today being a princess is a much tougher business. My human never seems to understand a constant supply of liver bonbons is what makes life interesting. I occasionally Blog and comment on MSNBC and Huffington Post just to keep the palace intrigue alive. The best times of the day are when I get "Happy Tails" which are treats that come out of the jar, our tails go nuts at the mention of them.
Sometimes I get to go to work with Mommy, I work with a Maltese named Brody we go to Ami's office for Happy Tails. Sometimes when I DID NOT get to go to work I smell Brody on Mommy what's up with that?

We got to go to the firehouse but Daddy didn't let me out of Mommy's car (we went to wash it) DO you think maybe they will ever forget my "gift"? Ming, my mom likes your story about being rescued from a pet store. That's how I came into the family too. Mom knows not to buy from pet stores but she saw in me something special. I was all sleepy groggy when she looked at me but she could see sweetness in me. We've been the closest friends ever since. Thanks for yor prayers. Don't fret none bout missing the fund-raiser. I just barked out that Brandon's Safe Sanctuary and Rescue needed some bandanas made with the words "please adopt me" on them. I think the journal was written on Friday, and in a few hours we had more bandanas than we requested. They will all be used though. Bausers' Mom even lowered her price on the bandanas for us and kicked in the x-tra small ones for free. Thanks sweet Ming & pawrents for your prayers for this weekend.

BOL - those were my potty paths Ming! Mom had so much shoveling to do on Saturday and Sunday that she only had the energy to dig me two 5 foot long paths. On Monday she dug me a long trail connecting the two paths, so now I have much more space. I cannot imagine how smaller dogs like you would get along in this much snow. If I get off my path, I flop around like a dead fish b/c the snow is way deeper than my legs are long! BOL! I hope you are staying warm!
