Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm doing much better.  My mange seems to be under control and my hair is growing back.  I am now as tall, if not taller than my big sister.  She still has more bulk on me but I have speed.

Mom googled earthclinic and found a natural remedy.  She has used it on me for two months as well as an Equate brand of acne medication that has benzol peroxide in it.  Where ever she found a mange pimple, she would use it.  I'm down to a few scabs.  We highly recommend the site...it's for human problems as well as animals.

July 19, 2008, I finally had a home.

I am a mutt by all standards but you can tell I have a bit German Sheppard in me.  I had been living on my own in a back alley for about three weeks.  My mom had noticed me before but assumed I belonged to someone in the area.  I hung around the post office and a church that had summer volunteers working with area children.  I loved it when they came out and spoke to me or gave me a bite to eat.  After a couple of weeks my mom came back and called to me.  I was a bit afraid but something just pulled me to her.  A nearby shop owner had told mom I was an orphan and nobody wanted me around so, she picked me up and put me in her car. 

After the car stopped she took me to meet my sister and show me where I could sleep.  I was ever so grateful.  I met my sister and she wasn't real friendly at first but I didn't care,  all I wanted was to lay down in that big house and rest.  Mom took some pictures of me and brought me some fresh water and a bowl of food.  I was in heaven! 

I slept for a little while and then came back out to look around the huge yard I had and meet the neighbors.  I got to run around on the deck and play with my sister (see the video).  That was the best nights sleep I'd had in a long, long time.  I don't really know when my birthday is but the vet told mom in August that she thought I was about 14weeks old, which means I must have been born around the middle of May.  It is now March 16.

 As some of you may know I've been through a lot for one so young.  It turns out I wasn't just a dirty, smelly dog.   I had sarcoptic mange.  Daisy and I both started taking Revolution and I had to be put on an antibiotic to help with the sores.  It took a couple of months but the medicine cured me and the next thing I know I'm back at the vets for neutering.  I cried like a big ole baby when mom left me there.  It was early and I was hungry and in a strange place.  After it was all over they called mom to come and get me and to tell me that I now had demodectic or dermodex mange, the hardest kind to cure.  Mom was given the material and directions and told to bathe me once a week in that awful stuff.  I hated baths as it was!  Thanks to http://earthclinic.com she found a much better medication to use on me and I'm at least 98% healed.  I just have to watch my stress level, take my vitamins and eat healthier.  I'm not to have any junk.  

Well, that pretty much takes me up to today.  I just got in from roaming in the mountains behind my house and I'm ready to crash and take a nap.  I will be having a birthday coming up in a couple of months.  It's hard to believe I'm nearly a year old!

    Thanks Ruff. You have lots of things for mom and I to see and do. I wished my town was like that. I live in Oklahoma in a place called Enid. We have several museums and an adventure park.

    Hi Ruff, How are you? Mom is so busy this summer she can't take a vacation so she decided we would take a virtual vacation here on doggyspace. We want to go to as many places as we can. Mom said she thinks we can travel 200 thousand miles this summer. I think she's nuts but I'm up for her game. Mom would like to know where in West Virginia you live so she can put down how many miles we traveled to see you. Bol...yes now I know she's nuts.     Thank you more than you will ever know. After reading your story my mom was able to help a mommy dog and her pups. It was a sucess story thanks to you and your honesty.
