blurbHi! I'm here to make friends with other doggies, their people and even the kitties that are signing up!
about meMy name is Panacea but I go by Pan. I'm always very happy. Believe it or not, i'm a parson russell terrier, rottweiler and australian shepherd mix! My mom did doggy DNA on me a few months ago and i am 37-74% parson russell terrier, 20-36% rottweiler and less than 10% australian shepherd!
My mom got me after her other doggy died suddenly. She will miss Molly forever but knew that Molly would want her to open her home and heart to another doggy in need. I even got approved by Molly!! My mom saw my ad on petfinder.com, filled out the ap with the rescue and they called her the next day saying she was approved. She hestitated thinking it was too soon after Molly's passing and then she heard Molly let out a happy yip!! She knew Molly approved! The day she got me from my foster home and was holding me on her lap she heard Molly yip happily again too. Molly was one lucky lass and I am too!
Panacea is the Goddess of Healing. The rescue I am from, SaveOhioStrays.org, told her that I was born on Christmas Day, was rescued from the pound (and certain death) on St. Valentine's Day and had my ad posted on St. Patrick's Day. My mom wanted to give me a name that was associated with 'holiday' and looked in the thesaurus for other words for 'holiday' and saw Panacea. She looked up what that meant and knew that was my name! She got me on the first day of spring and Pan is the God associated with spring. I go mostly by Pan. My names just seem to fit me perfectly!
I go for walks 2-3 times a day and on really hot days my Mom bought me a pool in my yard. Once a week, sometimes more!, we go to Bow Wow Beach in Stow, Ohio and I can swim. I swim so much my Mom calls me a fish dog! Bow Wow Beach was named one of Dog Fancy's Top 10 dog parks in the country! It is 7 acres with a 3 acre lake! I love it there and all the friends I have met there!
I love meeting new people, dogs, cats, even birds, I love everyone! When my mom walks me in the morning there's a mail lady who gives me treats. I learn really quick too. My mom only had to tell me to sit a few times before I knew to automatically sit when we get to every street corner.

Mommy got me a new sister, too, back in June. She said I needed playmate (because my older sister Possum was too tired all the time to play with me). Then, Mommy adopted JuJu and we get along perfecttly! Sisters are great!!
