blurbGotti came to me as a "rescue"....and had the woman who gave him to me answered the phone when I called to give him back (after he destroyed my spare bathroom by chewing the water line from the wall to the toilet, AND chewed not one, not two, but all four cabinets under the sink, AND the trim around the bathroom door (from the very bottom of the door to just above the door knob - on both sides)...I wouldn't have a BIG (97 pounds) loveable goof crashing around my house, or THROUGH the cedar fence in the backyard, now-a-days. (I've told that dog, on more than one occassion, "You are SOOO lucky I love you like I do!" (I also tell him I'm going to sew his butt shut when I come in from defusing all the land mines in the back yard - - I never would, but it makes me smile every time I tell him that!))
about meI live with my adopted Mom-anoid, and some little two legged humanoid creature she calls her 'son' - -whatever that is. (All I know is he looks funny, AND he gets away with peeing in the house! What the?!?!?)
I LOVE to help out around the house. I tried fixing Mom's big white fan last weekend...okay, so maybe I should have un-plugged it, or at least turned it OFF before I started working on it, but I don't think that really made that much difference in the long run; I couldn't fix the darn thing so I dragged it into the backyard and buried it (or part of it anyway).
As you already know, I started the demo process on the above mentioned bathroom - -THAT was a LOT of work! (In my defense, I told Mom, in the future, she needs to be more specific about WHICH bathroom she wants to remodel. Shesh. (I also told her, in my 'I mean business' voice, "WOMAN! Don't you go screaming at me because YOU didn't make yourself clear - - do you understand what I'm telling you woman!?!?"...of course Mom had thrown my butt outside in the pouring rain when I said that, so I was looking in thorough the sliding glass door, while she was inside all nice and dry, punching away on the buttons on the phone, mumbling about giving something back to someone - - yeah, yeah, WHATEVER.) She made me stay outside all night that night, which I had never done before. (I was cold......and wet.......and a tad bit scary...but I think she knows who's boss now!))
I also help out by prepping the kitchen floor for a good mopping by lapping up a whole bunch of water, then quickly running around the kitchen. Mom knows it's time to mop when she steps into the kitchen and her feet slide out from under her. She knows I'M the one who was thoughtful enough to get the floor ready for her 'cuz she always gives ME a look that only a mother can give a child - - y'know the one where no words are needed, but her eyes just scream, "GAWD I LOVE YOU GOTTI!!! YOU ARE THE BEST DOG IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!! WHAT WOULD I DO WITHOUT YOU?!?!" - - yep, she gives me THAT look. (It touches my heart every time.)
I also do a really good job of cleaning up after OTHERS. Why just the other day, the humanoid boy-thingie-ma-bobber went into the computer room to show Mom something, and he left a BIG old mess on the coffee table for Mom to find, so being the good guy that I am, I cleaned everything up - the sandwich - GONE. The chips - GONE! Heck, I even ate the paper napkin! You would think the little humanoid would appreciate what I did so HE wouldn't get in trouble, but NOOOoooOOOoooOOOooo.

It is with GREAT sadness I am writing to tell all Gotti's doggy friends (and their people) that my big loveable yet highly destructive Gotti had to be put down this past Monday (10/5/09). Around 1:00 a.m. Sunday I was awaken out of a deep sleep by Gotti having some sort of (HUGE) seizure. (Note: Gotti has never been sick a day in his life!) By 2:00 a.m. I had only manag...

To all my friends...I want to share something my person wrote on Kelso (the pigs) doggyspace...so you REALLY know what Kelso's person did. It went like this, "Kelso's person...you should be ashamed of how you re-wrote your profile......"I miss my life but when nature says its time to go its time to go!" that makes it sound like poor Kelso died of natural causes or old age or something...NOT that YOU willingly sold her for SLAUGHTER at only 6 months old AND you're raising another piggy to do the exact same thing! Shesh...this is a site for people who LOVE animals...I'm sure there's a 4-H site or something that would be a MUCH better fit for you. Don't get me wrong, we LOVE KELSO, but don't think much of the person that KELSO loved and probably never for a second thought would do him/her any harm, let alone WILLINGLY ALLOW someone to kill! Talk about BETRAYAL!!! I don't know how you can look at yourself in the mirror, what with obviously ENJOYING raising animals JUST TO BE slaughtered. You disgust me. Kelso baby, go find Gotti - - HE'LL love you and take good care of you FOR ALL OF ETERNITY - - he will NEVER betray you." Just knowing that Kelso's person is raising another pig to have killed at 6 months, well, that just breaks my heart....makes me want to cry. Can you imagine...raising something from a baby, giving it a name, selling that baby for slaughter, then having the nerve to post something on here about how Kelso loved his/her life but, oh well, NEXT! shesh.....GRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well, since I came from the South, Mom wanted a southern gal kind of name in honor of my roots...besides, Mom called my angel sister Kristi Kriket Pumpkin as a term of endearment...I am sure you have met her!

Yea that was a kitten actually my mom rescued him before she got me. He doesn't really like me that much but just like the other cats they deal with me, I love to play with cats =)

So sorry to hear about gotti, i am glad he's watching dutch from way up high!..it brought tears to my eyes while i was reading your message! i wish people wasnt so mean to pit bulls, it is all in how they are raised! mine is so gentel and loving although he might would lick you to death with his big ol' lappy tounge!..i guess you read his profile and seen he was dognapped, i am so glad he found his way back home i was so devistated and sick while he was missing and was so happy when he came scratching at the door 5 days later. he is very smart and loyal and listens better than the kids!..lol...take care and thanx for the pit bull love!

Gotti it is an honor to have you for a furiend. To Gotti's Mommy I want you to know that we were all there to greet Gotti when he arrived here at the Bridge. He loves and misses you but knows what you did for him was the best thing. He is running and playing just like a puppy. No more seizures. Sometimes the Vet people just don't get it. That we need our family at our side when we are sick. To make that cross to the Bridge easier. He was so happy to have you there at the end. We have a beautiful meadow with a lake. All the food,treats and toys we could ever want. Gotti and Maddie want you to know that when you feel a breeze on your face it is them sending you KISSES! Sending an Angel to watch over you and your family.
