blurbMy saying for life: I'm not chubby. I am just extra fluffy. This is my story and I'm going to stick to it.
I have a severe heart condition and can't walk around the block anymore. I may only have up to a year to live, so Mom is going to make my remaining months great for me. Mom setup her old wheelchair for me to ride in and she still takes me for rides around the neighborhood. I have to tell you, this is the way to ride in style. We call it my dog chariott.
about me
I am a miniature American Eskimo. I spent the first 4 years of my life in New Mexico - always outside in all kinds of weather with no shelter and who knows what other awful treatment. Apparently when I was dumped at the shelter, I came with one of my littermates and he had what is called a micro-eye. One of his eyes never formed right and he was blind in that eye and it was really little. We were probably the product of overbreeding, etc. Which is a common problem with dogs that came from puppy mills. Mom adopted me on 1/20/07 from a wonderful rescue group that works closely with a shelter in New Mexico and brings some of us dogs over to Arizona via airplane flown by angel pilots who just want to help. I am so grateful to be in a forever home. My Mom says I bring joy to everyone I meet. I am so spoiled but I deserve it after the awful life I used to have. I love to cuddle with my Mom. I like to eat a little too much. My vet says I am getting a little chubby. But hey, the food here is so good, I can't help myself. My Mom says I am so silly sometimes. My favorite thing to do every day is I rub myself on the dust ruffle of her bed and go all the way around it and then turn to the other side and rub my other side. Oh it feels so good... Mommy pets me alot, but for some reason I love the bed dust ruffle to rub on. I have severe heart disease and can no longer exercise. I may only have up to a year to live, so Mommy will make sure I have the best months ever. Mom considers it hospice and I am being treated like a king and can do whatever makes me happy. If I get even extra fluffier (fat) so what. Mom gets worried when Skye and I play, but what a better way to go - playing with your sister and being happy with Mom on the floor playing with us too!
I have a Husky sister named Skye. We live in Arizona. Skye and I shed year round and Mom says we generate enough fur each day to make another dog. I am a really good dog and my Mom says I never get into trouble. I love to make new friends and I like to be happy and funny and I almost always have that special Eskie smile.
I have another brother. His name is Hershey Kisses. He is a Chocolate Sable Pomeranian Male and is a real sweetheart. Skye loves Poms. He understands that I can't play anymore so I lay on the ground and he rolls all over me and we play so I don't get tired. I smile the whole time cause I can play again even with my heart condition. Hershey is here to be Sky's new brother when I go to the Rainbow Bridge. He is both of our's little buddy and we love him.
The above picture was taken at a R.E.S.C.U.E. pet event on 3/1/09. Mommy, Skye and I got to meet Auntie Nadine. She is the author of the wonderful book, 'The Healing Art of Pet Parenthood'. I received a dog blessing. We had a wonderful morning.

Mom was watching one of her favorite shows the other night, Dog Town, and they were working with one of the Vick pit bulls. This dog they guessed had been used as a bait dog and he was extremely shy and shut down. Just thinking of what these dogs went through makes Mommy cry everytime. Hey, bestest bed bed, Mom doesn't get on as much either. She's been working two jobs and keeping up with the running - and now she has Shingles and the Doctor told her to rest when she is not having to work - so Mom and I are having a lot of snuggle time. I know we haven't kept in touch as much as we use to, but you will always be my BESTEST BED BED! Np snow up here - we are having a lot of rain and very, very windy. Me and Mon don't like it too warm either. Mom said she lived in Alabama 20+ years - and it was always too hot for her. Love ya my bestest bed bed ever!

They do seem so nice...I'm glad the Vicktory dogs went there, the one guy, John Garcia, is a HUGE Pit fan! You look just like mom's dog she had before me...but he wasn't as nice as you are!

Hey bestest bed bed, thank you so very much for my Valentine's Day heart. Happy Valentine's Day to you too. So what have you been up to? Haven't heard very much from the my bestest bed bed in a VERY, VERY LONG TIME! Mollie wrote to me - ha, ha - but I don't want a girlfriend right now. I think you and I should just be cassinovas (I'm not sure I'm spelling that right). Hey, I have a Secret Paw this year - I really wanted one and Mom said "okay." We have NO SNOW up here in Maine - everyone else is getting it and warm temperatures too. At least for Maine. Mom is working a part-time job right now on the weekends, not happy! Oh, Oh, Mom has a four-day weekend this weekend and Mom is going to meet her BFF in Newburyport on Monday and I am going to stay with our friend, Lois. And, whoooo hoooo, she spoil, spoil, spoil, spoils me. Well, better run - bark back soon bestest bed bed. Love ya!

Oh, Oh, Oh, I FEEL SOOOOOOO BAD! I missed my bestest bed bed's birthday! It was on Saturday and Mom didn't get on Doggyspace that day so we missed it. I am sooooooo sorry - however can I make it up to you? Just let me know! See - look at you - a year later and you are still here with us. I just knew you were going to be around for awhile.
